Business Central connector

The Business Central connector enables direct API integration between Redline and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, eliminating the need for manual CSV exports.

Connector availability

The Business Central connector is currently in development. Until it is generally available, use the CSV import workflow to upload data exported from Business Central.

What it will sync

When available, the connector will automatically pull:

• Item master — part numbers, descriptions, lead times, item types
• Stock levels — inventory by location/warehouse
• Open purchase orders — outstanding orders with delivery dates
• Open production orders — active manufacturing orders
• BOM structure — current assembly BOMs with effectivity dates

Configuration

The connector will be configured in Settings → ERP → Connectors with:

Setting	Purpose
Base URL	Your Business Central OData v4 endpoint
Company ID	The BC company to connect to
Authentication	OAuth 2.0 client credentials
Sync interval	How often Redline pulls fresh data
Staleness threshold	When data is considered too old for phase-in calculation

CSV fallback

Until the connector is available, export the following from Business Central and upload via CSV import:

1. Items — Items list → export to Excel/CSV
2. Stock — Item Availability by Location → export
3. Purchase Orders — Outstanding Purchase Order Lines → export
4. Production Orders — Released/Firm Planned Production Orders → export
5. BOM — Production BOM → export with components

Use the download templates as a reference for the expected column format. Redline auto-detects Business Central’s default column names.
